Art Show a Hit
A crowd of art lovers came out last Friday night to attend the opening of David Burke’s “Victory Garden” and Ben Hull’s “Industria.” Starting at 7p, fans perused the art works, grazed on finger foods, and swayed to the fine tunes spun by Al James of Dolorean.
Our newly constructed gallery wall (built by Hull himself) showcased perfectly Burke’s beautiful and captivating paintings. Hung against a bright white wall, Burke’s works are a stunning display of color relationships, texture, and reflection.
Across the store is Hull’s mixed media works of metals and natural woods, hung appropriately over the massive cashwrap he constructed for us last year. Hull’s three-dimensional works are a great complement to Burke’s paintings. Together, the collections explore the themes of man’s relationship with nature and the nature of man.
If you missed the opening on Friday, there’s still time to view the show at the store. Both collections will be up for another few weeks.
